So Much Turkey...

Thanksgiving. The one day of the year when I don't feel QUITE as bad for eating everything that comes within arm's reach of my mouth. Well, until about 30 minutes after I'm done eating anyway. Played football with my brother today... real football, not just video game football... it was a fun experience. He's actually pretty good, he should do well next year as a big sophomore on the football team. Well, so far I've gotten absolutely zero done on all that homework I planned on doing during the break, but should I really be surprised? And I seriously doubt it'll get any better after I head for Tullahoma late tomorrow. Like I can get any productive schoolwork done when Raena's around! Very funny. I'm gonna have to try though. Speaking of being productive, I guess I should start trying to scale Mt. Laundry now...

Day One (continued...)

I ran a mile!!! Ok, so it was in three separate pieces, but I ran it anyway. SO glad the second intramural game was a forfeit, I got outta there early! Spent the extra time exercising, though... didn't get any work done, but am about to take care of that after this post. It's SO nice to have a car stereo again!!! Even if it's just until tomorrow afternoon. Four cokes today... three with meals, one out of the machine during a class break. Not bad, but I can do better... I have to do better.

Day One

So here it is, 4:00 in the afternoon, and I've gotten none of the studying done that I intended to. Well, I guess that's ok, I've still got two full hours of procrastination until my lab. Unfortunately, I completely forgot that I told Tippett I'd referee intramurals tonight, so I have to do that now. I was planning on going to the rec center tonight anyway and running, so I guess I can do that after the soccer games are over. I think I'm gonna take Dr. E's advice and "start slow". Maybe a mile, maybe more depending on how I feel. Three cokes today... not bad I guess... considering my usual average. I think I'll have one more with dinner and try to go completely cold turkey after that (at least until Thanksgiving Day). Sounds simple enough, but anyone who knows me also knows it could be an EXTREMELY difficult thing to do. Still a little worried about Jamie, haven't talked to her in a few days... but Raena's supposed to try and reach her today, which would be good. As for Raena, I love her VERY much :) Only been one day and I still miss her like crazy! :( Oh, which reminds me, I have to start thinking about Christmas presents.... grrr....
